Use the Serial Ports tool to configure existing serial ports for modems and alphanumeric terminals. To configure the port you have chosen, select Action->Configure, and then Terminal or type of Modem. The configuration properties will be set for you.

For more control over the configuration, double-click the serial port you want to configure. A properties dialog box displays the configurable properties.
