The Solaris Product Registry consists of two parts.
The system registry lists Solaris software, all svr4 packages, and all software installed and registered by the root user.
The user registry lists software installed and registered by a user other than the root user.
The Solaris Product Registry window contains three areas of information.
On the left, a list of installed and registered software
In the upper-right column, standard attributes of the currently selected software
In the bottom-right, an informational section showing internal and customized attributes of the currently selected software
