This document describes changes in HotJava for Solaris from previous versions.
Changes From Version 1.0

Based on HotJava Browser version 1.1.5
This version of HotJava for Solaris is based on version 1.1.5 of
the HotJava Browser. The versions of each are being synchronized
to make this clear. The previous version of HotJava for Solaris
is 1.1.4.

Java runtime upgraded to Java 1.1.6
HotJava for Solaris contains a co-packaged Java Version 1.1.6 runtime
which is used by default. The JDK_HOME
environment
variable can be used to specify an alternate Java runtime.
Note: This version is only certified with the co-packaged
Java runtime. Solaris Java runtimes prior to version 1.1.6 are known
to cause failures in this version of HotJava for Solaris.

Support for 40-bit SSL encryption has been added
HotJava for Solaris now includes support for Secure Socket Layer
and the https:
protocol. This version can be exported
globally. No support for 128-bit SSL encryption is available due
to export restrictions.

Upgraded to WebNFS Version 1.1
HotJava for Solaris now includes Version 1.1 of WebNFS which
provides support for the nfs:
protocol which can
be used to access files via NFS (Network File System).
