The
.B fw.activate
utility turns the firewall on and off.
.SH OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
.TP 10
.B on
Turn on the firewall rules filtering.  The rules that were active in
the prior session will resume.  To obtain a listing of rules that would be 
active, see
.BR fw.rule (1).
.TP
.B off
Turn off the firewall rules filtering.  No inbound or outbound packets are
filtered.
